New in the shop
From time to time interesting or out of the ordinary pieces of wood arrive in my workshop, or perhaps a component part or an idea for a variation I usually don't offer.
Or, sometimes when I'm working out a musical arrangement or doing intensive recording I build an instrument that provides sounds the composition seems to call for.
Sometimes the instrument stays with me for months or years; sometimes a happy match is made when someone else falls in love with it.

A visitor to the shop once suggested it would be really great to have a chance to see and consider purchasing one of the custom instruments I make for my own use.
Since then, others have made the same request. Here you are-- let me know what you think.

If you are interested in this dulcimer, please refer to it by serial number and call to confirm its availability.

Photographer's Note: The detail above (showing the Finnish birch ply and the open-geared tuners) should show the sides and fingerboard color to be nearer the redwood spectrum of the top photos.
