The mountain dulcimer and its music can be discovered in both urban and rural settings.

Newcomers to this instrument usually find they are building both a solid repertoire of tunes and strong ties to an extended family.


We'll add to this family album as time goes on.

Below: The mountain dulcimer attracts kids of all ages. Josh and David already knew a lot about hand woodworking tools (their families make wooden baskets and jigsaw puzzles, respectively). Handmade music enchanted them.
